My name is Hippy. I am 28 years older now than I was when I first started out on this beautiful planet called Earth. I am from a small town in Southern Oregon just outside of Medford called Ruch. Ruch is a small mountainas area about 1600 feet above sea level. The biggest thing in this town is a church where over 5000 people attend regularly from the town of Medford mostly. It was started by the hippies 20 years ago but all the yuppies took over, but its still pretty laid back all and all. Well enough cordialities...what happened to "free love" and "peace" and "make love,not war"? Are these ideals just something that we have forgotten about in our endless pursuit for wealth and pleasures? Are those the exact ideas that may have started out of good intentions but turned it's ugly head and bit us right in the !@* when we least expected it in the form of MATERIALISM?
Do you think that we live in a generation of unprecedented GREED? Do you think that your life hinges on the door of materialism more now than your great grandparents or your great great grandparents? If so you have probably caught this modern yet timeless disease called greed. It is like a black hole, you can NEVER ever EVER feed it to satisfaction. Do you feel the lust for MORE or BETTER? Does it drive you? Are you often overwhelmed wondering what the purpose really is when you are just going to die anyway? You are not alone. Materialism believe it or not has played a HUGE role in the degradation of our society and world leading to incidents like Littleton, Springfield, Jonesboro etc. Also it leads to events like Oklahoma City, Postal workers and slick Willy. O.K. you may say, sounds reasonable, but prove it. SIMPLE: THE BREAKUP OF THE FAMILY INCLUDING THE LOSS OF ALL MORAL FOUNDATIONS because the parents are not home, they are out making MONEY MONEY MONEY or doing drugs. Materialism you see doesnt always involve $$$ it often involves SELFISHNESS which is what the wrong turn we made in the 60's was...SELFISHNESS. This planet is CRAZY and getting crazier quickly, its time to be like Peter in the Bible who walked on water, stop looking to yourself, instead start looking to one who IS higher than you (not on weed either) look to the author and creator...HE'S got the plans that can truly save us. Remember the acronym for joy is: Jesus; Others; then You. JOY!! If ya' try to turn it around you have yoj and thats worthless.

In all the pictures you see of Jesus and historically men embodied the true spirit of hippydome. They might not have worn Patchouli back then though! In the 60,s everyone sought after "Peace, Love and Light man". Most never found it. Jesus while on Earth was God in the flesh (John 1) and as God he physically fulfilled ULTIMATE PEACE. Peace in knowing my sins are ALL forgiven. Peace in knowing personally MY creator and His plans for me. Love in knowing that "For God so LOVED the World (us) that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him would not perish but have everlasting life". LIGHT in knowing that Jesus is the Light of the world and when you know Him the LIGHT OF TRUTH shines brightly in your heart and life. I love light...it can be warm and it definatly brings comfort to see where your walking when your next to a cliff. "God is light and in him there is no darkness at all. Dark deeds stink: murder, rape, abuse, theft, backstabbing and gossiping to name a few. I'm tired of that lifestyle are you?

Well if you find you agree with even a tid-bit of what I have just shared and want to allow real truths to come into your mind, do not take my word for it, take HIS WORD for it! I suggest reading the books of John, the first 9 chapters of Romans and Proverbs for a start. DONT STOP THERE. Plug in to a Bible based church that will demonstrate love,light and peace with you. On a scale of 1-10 ultimate hippiness; I give Jesus Hippies a 10 (being best). Prepare; He is returning soon, dont be left out in the dark, dont leave love behind, choose love now; Choose Peace. Jesus is coming back GET YOUR FREE TICKETS FOR THE FINAL FLIGHT OUT OF HERE COMPLIMENTS OF THE PRICE JESUS PAID FOR U ON THE CROSS. Its simple: go to a private place and in your heart tell Jesus you have failed ask him to forgive your sins and come into your heart, ask him to be your guide (a guide you can trust, not some psycho...I mean psychic) read his word (lifes instruction manual) and plug in to a church.
